It's used for printing UPS labels etc. Windows sees it as UPS Thermal 2844 but says it has no drivers. I've tried getting all the various driver packages from Zebra's web page for this model and it simply won't work. Windows says it can't even find a driver for the dang thing. Details

Zebra manufactured UPS Printers are only designed to work with UPS shipping applications and 4x6 shipping labels. The UPS driver is required for use with the UPS Printer and the normal ZebraDesigner Driver from the Zebra Website cannot be used with these specialty printers.

Cautions

Do not load standard Zebra Printer firmware. Special UPS firmware is the only compatible firmware for the printer
Do not load the ZebraDesigner Printer Driver. Only use the UPS printer driver with the Zebra UPS Printer

Technical Support

Zebra Technical Support will only support the printer as a standalone device to assure the printer is calibrated and able to print a selftest label. i.e. Determine the printer is functioning and able to print a label.

UPS Support will support the UPS Driver installation, configuration, and setup to allow printing from the Worldship application.

Print Quality

White lines – Clean the printhead

Note:If the white lines persist the printer may need the printhead replaced. Review your service options.

Print is too light or too dark. - Verify the printer darkness setting in the UPS Driver is properly set to optimize your print intensity

Communications

USB – assure the cable is properly connected.

- Check your printer setup in Windows and assure the proper driver is being used

- Verify you do not have multiple instances of the driver installed

- Contact UPS Technical Support for driver setup assistance if the problem persists

Calibration

Red light flashing (LP2844/ZP450) indicates a paper out or calibration issue

No selftest

If the printer fails to perform a selftest on power up you will have to review your service options
